03:51 - "Uzbekistan Airlines" is to buy ten A320 airbuses, the first one arrived to Tashkent
A320 airbus landed to "Tashkent" International Airport from Hamburg. According to the contract between National air company "Uzbekistan Airways" and Airbus Industries, this is the first out of future ten airbuses to land, according to Uzbekistan National News Agency.

It is 17 years now since "Uzbekistan Airways" and Airbus Industries cooperation. The very first long distance flight of airbus of this class A310 was brought into Tashkent in 1993. This was the beginning of the national program of exchange of the old tech planes to new, western, efficient , trustworthy and convenient planes. In the next 5 years, "Uzbekistan Airways" bought two more of A310 airbuses. Today, "Uzbekistan Airways" carries out almost all the flights by A310, Boeing - 757/767, РЖ85 and Il-114-100 which is made in Uzbekistan. Now, one more modern liner was added to its ranks.

The chief director of "Uzbekistan Airways" Mr B.Tyan, at the presentation time underlined that this was also the patronage of the president Islam Karimov .

According to the new, A320 air liner is the most convenient for flights with up to 5000 km (3107 miles) distance. Because of its energy efficiency and modern cabin styles, it is the most on demand airbus. For instance, A320 liner spends almost 2.5 times less fuel than Тu-154. Beside this, A320 very light weight airbus. The current airbus has advantages in trustworthiness and security parameters. According to the contract, national "Uzbekistan Airways" company will receive 5 more airbuses by the end of this year and the rest of it in 2011.

A320 airbus has 2 salons and accommodates for 150 passengers, speed - 850 km/h (528 miles/h), max flight height - 11275 meters (36 990 ft), flight distance with max weight - 3800 km (2360 mile).
